it depends on what part of the city.

2012 MINIMUM WAGE

$9.65 per hour (general rate and clothing industry)

$8.35 per hour (employees receiving tips)


CONSUMPTION TAXES

In Montreal, two different taxes are applied to products and services. The federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) is 6%, while the Quebec Sales Tax (QST) is set at 8.5% and applies to the selling price including the GST. Some items including groceries, restaurant meals, and books are PST exempt.

Get 10$ per hour and you can rent something and eat something. But for comfortable living, je pense, you must earn 15-20$/hour minimum.

Hi
If you IT-specialist you can find a job without french in Grand Montreal. All other people must be bilingual or have a fluent french.

Hi actually I am a Autocad Engineer / Civil Engineer so do i need french to get good job opportunities
